For NTC thermistors, resistance drops as temperature rises. Use the Steinhart-Hart equation to estimate temperature from resistance:
1/T = A + Bln(R) + C[ln(R)]3, where T is in kelvin, R is resistance, and A,B,C are coefficients from the datasheet.
Example: If you select a 10kOhm NTC thermistor for an indoor sensor node, you can calculate the expected resistance at 25 degreesC (R25) and use the above equation (with supplied coefficients) to determine temperature for any measured resistance.
