Powering the ESP32 correctly is essential. On dev boards, USB supplies the 5V input which the onboard regulator converts to 3.3V. For battery-powered or production designs, supply a stable 3.3V capable of handling WiFi transmit peaks (up to ~500-700 mA bursts). Use decoupling capacitors and route power to minimise voltage drop.
