Extended-lever actuator micro switches (also called lever-limit or snap-action micro switches) provide crisp mechanical switching with a long, flexible actuator arm. Most micro switches provide COM, NO and NC terminals. For a simple endstop input to a microcontroller use the NO terminal with a pull-down resistor or the NC terminal with a pull-up, depending on whether you prefer active-high or active-low logic.
