Standard 100kOhm CFR resistors use a four-band colour code: Brown-Black-Yellow-Gold, representing 1 (brown), 0 (black), multiplier x10,000 (yellow), and a 5% tolerance (gold).
Choose the CFR50J-100K when a 100kOhm resistor must handle up to 0.5W and circuit voltages stay within 350V. For power calculations and durability, always add 25-50% de-rating, especially in South African environments where ambient temperatures can exceed 30 degreesC in enclosed spaces.
